“Imagine how many more Alex Ealas we can develop if we create the right opportunities here at home by having our own top-notch tennis training academy much like the renowned Rafa Nadal Academy, where Alex has trained for almost a decade and come out at this point as its most successful graduate,” dagdag ng gobernador.
“As part of our CamSur Uptown development, we are prepared to allocate land for the establishment of a world-class Tennis Academy—one that can nurture future Filipino champions and provide deserving young athletes with opportunities that many currently do not have,” sabi pa ng gubernador.
“Not every talented Filipino child has the resources to train overseas. The Philippines still needs more world-class training facilities, elite coaching programs, and a genuine pathway for young athletes to reach the international stage,” dagdag ni Villafuerte.
“Let us transform Alex Eala’s success into a movement—a movement that discovers, trains and inspires the next generation of Filipino champions,” sabi pa ni Villafuerte.
“As governor of CamSur, I also see this as a call to action. May this be the beginning of a new era for Philippine tennis,” dagdag pa niya. “Let us build the future. Let us develop more Filipino tennis champions on the world stage.”
“Today, every Filipino stands a little taller with pride as Alex’s breakthrough run at Wimbledon is not just a historic sporting achievement, but is more of a powerful reminder to the world that the Filipino is capable of competing, succeeding and excelling at the highest level,” sabi ni Villafuerte.
“Alex has shown to us that greatness is built through years of hard work, unwavering discipline, courage under pressure, humility in victory, and an unshakable faith in God,” aniya. “She never stopped believing in her dream of sports greatness, even when the journey demanded countless sacrifices,” dagdag pa nito.
