Negative Certification of Birth valid lamang ng 6 buwan

Inanunsyo ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) nitong Lunes, Mayo 4, na ang lahat ng Negative Certification of Birth documents ay valid lamang ng anim na buwan mula sa petsa ng paglalabas nito.
Sinisertipikahan ng Negative Certification of Birth certifies na walang birth record sa Civil Registry System (CRS) database hanggang sa petsa ng issurance.
Karaniwan itong hinihingi sa pagproseso ng delayed birth registration at iba pang civil registry transactions.
Ipinaliwanag ni National Statistician Dennis Mapa na bagamat ang Republic Act No. 11909 ay nagbibigay ng permanent validity sa certificates of live birth, death, at marriage, ang Negative Certification of Birth ay iba at may time-sensitive purpose, na sumasalamin sa status ng rekord sa partikular na panahon.
Ani Mapa, ang kawalan ng prescribed validity period ay nagreresulta sa paggamit ng outdated certifications, at banta sa misuse at iregularidad sa civil registration processes.
Masisiguro rin ng six-month validity period ang accuracy ng record, maiwasan ang maling paggamit nito at masiguro ang integridad ng civil registry transactions.
“Negative Certifications of Birth presented beyond the six-month validity period shall no longer be accepted for delayed registration of birth or for any other civil registry transaction,” aniya.
“All concerned offices and personnel are hereby directed to ensure strict compliance with this Advisory unless sooner revoked or modified,” dagdag pa.
