Tatapusin na ng House Committee on Justice ang impeachment proceeding sa Abril 29 at pagdating ng Mayo, sa pagbubukas ng sesyon, ay maaari na itong matalakay sa House Plenary, ayon kay Lanao del Sur Rep Zia Alonto Adiong.
Ang komite ay maryoon na lamang, 2 pagdinig sa.Abril 22 at Abril 29.
“The committee is nearing the end of its evidence-gathering phase, with key agencies and resource persons scheduled for the remaining hearings. Ang alam. ko on the 29th, hopetully we will rap up,” pahayag ni Adiong na miyembro ng justice panel.
Sa oras na na maisapinal ang committee report ay isusumite ito sa plenary, ani Adiong sa plenary debates ay maaaring kuwestiyunin ng mga mambabatas ang mga sponsor ng impeachment complaint gayundin si Batangas Rep Gerville Luistro na syang Chairman ng House Committee on Justice.
“So hindi siva agad-agad ma-aprubahan kasi magkakaroon pa ‘yan ng, of course magkakaroon pa talaga. ng debate ‘yan and there will be also time for other members to elicit answers from the chairperson which would be the sponsor of this committee report,” paliwanag nito.
Nilinaw ni Adiong na ang buong proseso sa Kamara ay sa pagdetermina ng probable cause at hindi sa, “guilt”.
