Mag-uumpisa ang klase sa mga pampublikong eskuwelahan sa June 8, 2026.
Inihayag ito ni Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sonny Angara matapos lagdaan ang DepEd Order No. 009, Series 2026 nitong April 16, na nagsasaad ng guidelines sa implementasyon ng three-term school year.
Ayon kay Angara, ang school year 2026-2027 ay pormal na magbubukas sa June 8, araw ng Lunes, at magsasara ng April 8, 2027 araw ng Huwebes.
“It shall consist of 201 class days, from the first day of Term 1 to the last day of Term 3. Adjustments to the school calendar due to unforeseen circumstances may be made through subsequent issuances,” ayon pa kay Angara.
Ang mga private schools, state and local universities at colleges ay maaari ring magpatupad ng three-term school calendar kung saan kailangan nilang sundin ang required number ng araw ng pasok mula 200 days na hindi hihigit sa 220 class days, ayon pa kay Angara.
